More info:

Centrally located in Nieuw Delft, Antoni creates space for meeting, knowledge exchange and innovation: the DNA of Delft. The strength of this complex lies in the physical connection of the dynamic surroundings with an urban, mixed-use function in the plinth of the building. To enable this building base to become a lively hub, the indoor parking is shifted to the south side of the site. This frees up the heart of the building to create an impressive, glass atrium that brings in daylight from all sides. To create visual unity, the plinth and the residential floors above gradually steps up from the boundary with the neighbouring buildings towards the corner.

In this way the plinth becomes double-height. The full-height glazed facade appears inviting and accessible for (potential) visitors. Central to the programming of the Living Lobby in the heart of the building is the facilitation of connections with respect to innovation, knowledge, design and technology, such that entrepreneurs, locals, diners, students, residents, passersby and hotel guests – who all occupy the building simulta-neously – can strengthen each other. Delft, as a centre of knowledge and technology, is showcased and experienced on one of the busiest locations in the city. State-of-the-art sustainable measures connect to the initiatives in the building.
